And nontoxic, odorless, stable in the air. Relative density is 2.16. Slightly soluble in water, and its aqueous solution shows weak alkaline reaction. Its solubility in water is 0.02% (15°C). Easily soluble in acid and ammonium salt solution, it shall resolve and send out carbon dioxide while meeting with diluted acid. Heated to 300°C and above, it shall resolve and produce water, carbon dioxide and magnesium oxide.  UseMagnesium carbonate used as high-quality filler and reinforcement agent of rubber products; as well as fireproof and thermal insulation materials resistant to high temperature.
